I was in a pool area and I was playing around splashing the water and all until I fell in a could not get out. In everyone’s life, there is always going to be some type of obstacle that they have to face. They could be huge obstacles and some people cannot or just give up. As for me, I had to overcome one obstacle. For many people, the obstacle seems simple and also minor but it was a difficult challenge for me. I stayed determined through this obstacle as many people would. I am 11 years old so this was not too long ago being around 9 or even 8 years old when I had to overcome it. I had to overcome my fear of the pool and actually learn to swim. The reason why was because is because as I said in the begging I almost drowning in one.
Perseverance means that you keep going and that you don’t stop. This is also used in the presence of an obstacle that someone is trying to overcome. As an example, Jackie Robinson was the first colored person to play in major baseball and he persevered through the hate that he was getting from his teammates and also the other teams. For example, he got death threats and also got baseball balls thrown at him while he was there. Furthermore, players refused to play with and also, against Jackie Robinson. After almost 46 years and everyone still knows Jackie Robinson and many still follow his steps like I did.
This was a big inspiration to me and I am sure to many others as well. This is basically something way bigger than I had to go through it was still an inspiration. I never gave up even though I sometimes felt like quitting. I kept getting way better and more positive than I used to tell myself that I could. Jackie Robinson is an inspiration to many people in many ways and problems and everyone has to have at least done one of his 9 values. This taught me that you should never give up on something that you wanted to do.
This helped my future me in many ways. I would not be doing much and staying inside or just out on the streets playing and I also have openings in sports and outdoor activities making me more social when I have to work with people that I don’t know and am not being forced to become their friend. This gives more goals than I would have had in the past and also if I wouldn’t have tried or did not cared for making it to the bigger leagues and also becoming better than I already am. I could have many different plans for the future that I don’t have now but might come up with later in life. How this can all happen is that I would just keep practicing and practicing trying to become better than I already am and that I will be.
Even though my story and Jackie Robinson’s stories are both very different there are still some similarities. I also always kept telling myself that I could not do it and some people did not believe in what I am now. While my mom kept taking me to train I tried but failed and gave me negative thoughts. I kept trying and went through pain and happiness and had fun and also serious times. I kept getting better only to get me one level higher and to go through much more pain than I was already in like if I just started again. I also went through breaks that helped me get energy back but also make me forget and about some things and end up getting slower. Some of these parts connect with Jackie Robinson’s story but some of it does not. Both of these stories taught me you should never give up and to keep trying no matter how hopples it all seems or how hard it is and to ignore the negative things. To keep trying If you really want to do it or become it.
